I think that during the “Theme Group Discussion” session we will be looking for input from the stakeholders as to whether they think the theme groups have identified the appropriate areas to focus on; i.e., are the topics being focused on by the theme groups appropriate as presented? are there topics missing? are there areas of overlap among several theme groups that might more appropriately be dealt with by one group or, conversely, is there a topic that, more appropriately, should be dealt with by several theme groups approaching it from different perspectives? (e.g., something that might have a positive effect on economic sustainability could have a negative effect on environmental sustainability).
The purpose of getting the theme groups together at every other meeting is to make sure that no group is working in isolation – that everyone understands what the other groups are doing and how what the other groups are working on might impact their own work.
    Hope this helps.

    Looking forward to Saturday’s meeting.
Can you give some sense of what the format of the “Theme Group Discussion” will be? Is that a time for individual stakeholders from that theme group to comment or will facilitaros be handling most of the dialogue? (Or is it an oopen discussion?) How much time has been alotted for the discussion?

Let us know what you think!
