Chapel Hill is home to exceptional restaurants, diverse arts and cultural events, and clubs and music venues. The
University hosts world-class speakers, dramatic and musical performances, and nationally ranked sports teams. This initiative would consider how to enhance these offerings in new development and redevelopment efforts. New mixed-use entertainment districts could be created at sites such as Ram’s Plaza and then linked via shuttle service to other districts such as downtown or the University.
Future hubs could include the Glen Lennox area, Timberlyne/Chapel Hill North, and the Future Focus areas identified in the Chapel Hill 2020 comprehensive plan
